Multiple Powerball tickets across different states in America earned $1 million prizes in the recent draw yet failed to claim the enormous $527 million jackpot. The national Powerball website reported these winning tickets selected five correct numbers but did not have the Powerball number for the Saturday, March 29 drawing.
A single California ticket holder obtained the elusive $527 million jackpot prize from the drawing. Three winning $1 million Powerball tickets belonged to individuals in Georgia while separate Ohio and Oregon and Texas players also claimed this amount. The upcoming Powerball drawing on Monday, March 31 features a $20 million grand prize with a cash value of $9.3 million according to the Powerball site. The winning numbers were 7, 11, 21, 53 and 61 with Powerball 2 and a Power Play multiplier of 3x. Powerball officials reported that more than 925,000 tickets throughout the United States won prizes between $4 and $150,000 according to the lottery officials.
The $329 million Powerball jackpot prize from January 18 went to an Oregon player according to lottery authorities.
The five $1 million winners selected all five white balls in the latest draw and among them one bought their ticket at Emery Convenient Food Mart in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. The remaining $1 million prizes went to winners in Georgia, Oregon, and Texas. On Monday, March 31 at 10:59 p.m. players will have their next chance to win big with a $20 million jackpot and a $9.3 million cash prize option.
The Powerball officials note that the jackpot chances amount to 292,201,338 odds per one ticket while the Mega Millions chances amount to 302,575,350 odds per one ticket. Winning $1 million through Powerball gives players 11,688,053.52 chances in their favor.
